Biggest ISPP Fun Run Ever to Put Wind Beneath Falcons

The biggest International School Phnom Penh’s Annual Fun Run ever held will be on starter’s orders Saturday 13 March as students, teachers, parents, the ISPP Takeo Falcons volleyball team and the ANZ Royal Phnom Penh Wheelchair Racing Team all aim to eat up the laps to raise the 2010 sponsorship for the ISPP Takeo Falcons.

As the CNVLD reaches its landmark 10th Anniversary, the 2010 Fun Run will also celebrate the 5th Anniversary of ISPP sponsorship of the Takeo Falcons. Thanks to the efforts of ISPP teacher and Landmine Study Group organiser Mr Brian Webster and Ms. Marion Harris along with their dedicated students, ISPP have remained the most consistent sponsor for one of the league’s best teams.

As the 2010 Cellcard National Volleyball League looms, the ISPP Takeo Falcons are already in training, eager to break into the top four after three seasons of consistently coming close. As well the main event sponsored per lap for each participant, a special ISPP All-Stars Team will stage their annual challenge against the Falcons on the volleyball court while paralympic hopeful ANZ Royal wheelchair racer and Cambodian National Champion Van Vun and his team will give participate in the laps, stage a demonstration race and help organise a special children’s wheelchair race. Judging by last year’s efforts, this event may prove to be the kids’ favourite by a few laps!

Entertainment as ever will be provided courtesy of ISPP student DJs, with the BBQ, jumble sale and refreshments stalls all being manned and filled by students, staff and parents to guarantee a family carnival atmosphere in support of their team. Ultra-hip for 2010 are special ISPP-CNVLD t -shirts, designed by the Landmine Group to be on limited sale for all discerning Fun Runners.

The CNVLD wishes all the athletes the best of luck in their aim to run as many laps as possible and thanks the students, staff and teachers from ISPP for their outstanding, consistent efforts in support of the athletes with a disability of Cambodia.
