Takeo ISPP Falcons to Play Australian Navy Team

The Takeo ISPP Falcons will continue the proud tradition of the Australian Defence Forces - CNVLD Annual Volleyball Tournament when they travel to Ream Naval Base on May 15 to take on a team from HMAS Anzac which will be docking in Cambodia.

The Australian Defence Forces - CNVLD Annual Volleyball Tournament has been a favourite fixture on the calendar since 2005 and the Takeo ISPP Falcons will be the third CNVLD team to take on the might of the Australian navy teams.

However, thanks to the outstanding skills of the Kompong Speu Koupreys and Kompong Speu Scorpions over the past 5 years, the Australian Defence Forces have as yet failed to win a single match against the CNVLD. 2010 will be the first outing to Ream for the Takeo ISPP Falcons, a team whose consistent improvements over the past 3 seasons have seen them rise from a mid-low table team to a tight outift aiming to challenge to break into the top four during the 2010 Cellcard National Volleyball League.

Sponsored by the International School Phnom Penh, the Takeo ISPP Falcons are one of the most popular teams in the Cellcard National Volleyball League and engage in many educational outreach activities with the IB students thanks to the efforts and support from the  ISPP Landmine Study Group.

Will the HMAS Anzac crew step up in 2010 to the mighty flight of the Falcons or will the CNVLD team be bringing the perenial trophy back to HQ for the sixth year running?
