The CNVLD, Pailin Frechen Lions Cellcard National Volleyball Team and the Cambodian National Volleyball Team have all Stood Up in support of Cambodian National Volleyball Team Coach and local hero Christian Zepp who is currently recovering in good spirits in Germany from an operation on a recently diagnosed serious health problem.

Hero Coach Zepp, who won the hearts of the nation by guiding the Cambodian National Volleyball team to their best ever results at the Cambodia 2007 WOVD World Cup and the Cambodia 2009 Cellcard WOVD Volleyball World Cup, was disappointed last month at not being able to compete in the annual Frechen 50-hour swim which he has completed for the last 3 years to raise sponsorship for the Pailin Frechen Lions team.

However, such is the reputation of Coach Zepp both for his local efforts to promote sport and his outstanding assistance to the athletes with a disability of Cambodia, the organisers and sponsors together with the Mayor of Frechen and the winner of the event Stood Up with Christian and donated the same funds as in 2008 and 2009, despite his not taking part in the event.

The CNVLD thanks the people of Frechen for their generosity of spirit and support for our wonderful coach and the athletes with a disability of Cambodia.
